Throughout the year, Glendora hosts these events where the City Council gives special recognition to an individual or group for extraordinary service or contribution to the community. Below are some examples of recognition and ways to get involved.
The Community Property Appreciation Awards (Beautification Awards) honors outstanding residential properties within the City. The Community Services Commission makes a selection in one of the following three ways: landscaping, renovation, or overall appearance based on each commissioner's assigned district.
The goal of the Adopt-a-Park program is to involve individuals, local businesses, civic organizations, and community organizations in the beautification and maintenance of Glendora's parks through volunteerism, donations, and sponsorships. Volunteers can clean up and beautify a park or facility within a park; donate amenities; or sponsor a major project within the parks or trails of Glendora.
