SUMMARY OF APPROVED ORDINANCE

AS PRESCRIBED BY GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 36933 (c) (1)

            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT at their meeting held January 14, 2025 the Glendora City Council conducted a second reading and adopted Ordinance No. 2093, entitled:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GLENDORA, CALIFORNIA AMENDING TITLE 10 (VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC) OF THE GLENDORA MUNICIPAL CODE, CHAPTERS 10.76 (STREET VENDING) AND 10.77 (SIDEWALK VENDING) TO UPDATE THE CITY OF GLENDORA’S REGULATORY PROGRAM APPLICABLE TO STREET AND SIDEWALK VENDORS

The ordinance enacts the following regulations and policies: 

  1. Modifies prohibited locations to address the safety of vehicle operators and pedestrians.
  2. Revises application requirements for a Sidewalk Vendor Permit.
  3. Revises Sidewalk Vendor operating standards to address the size and configuration of vending devices.
  4. Adds a section authorizing the city to impound vending devices and equipment for code violations.
  5. Updates the standards for liability insurance.

Said ordinance will become effective 30 days after adoption.

The foregoing Ordinance was approved and adopted at a Regular Meeting of the Glendora City Council by the following roll call vote:

AYES:              COUNCILMEMBERS:               Davis, Elias, Thompson, Allawos, and Fredendall.
NOES:             COUNCILMEMBERS:               None.
ABSENT:         COUNCILMEMBERS:               None.
